I-Lands Satellite service will provide you with broadband speed that will make your Internet experience all the better.
Here is how it works. Our installation staff will place a satellite dish (approx. 30" x 31") on the roof/side of the house or on a pole. The dish unit will be directed and aligned to our Satellite providers ever orbiting satellite in the south eastern sky. If you have a clear view in this direction you are on your way to having high speed downloads. The installers will then run a coaxial cable into the room where your PC is located and connect it to the Satellite modem. They will place a short ethernet cable from the modem to your ethernet port on your PC. All you need then is a power cable (provided) and a working phone line. Then, our representative sets up your web-based connection icon.
This system is designed for highspeed surfing and downloads at broadband speeds. The modem is used to send the requested web page and the Satellite is used to bring the content to you lighting fast.

Initial
Site Survey
In
order to determine availability of signal, an
initial site survey is required. Each site will be surveyed to see if suitable
connection is possible by either mounted
to suitable point of your house or business
structure using standard satllite dish mounting hardware. The survey will determine if a quality connection will be possible for your location. If your site requires dish mounting in some fashion other than standard dish mounting hardware our installers will discuss the possibilites with you. These types of install may be considered a custom install. Custom installs are not free and cost for such an installation will be determined on a case by case basis.

I-Land is currently installing Satellite connections with a "$4.99 equipment lease fee + tax " plan. What this means is I-Land Internet will provide the needed equipment for the standard installation package at no "purchase" cost for the customers use. There will be a monthly lease fee of $4.99 + tax. Customer must sign an equipment use agreement that outlines the property ownership and the return policy for the "leased" equipment.
Your computer must
have an Ethernet network interface card. 256Mb +memory, Running Windows any version. The
cost of additional components and installation
charges that may be necessary is not included in any
figures quoted on this site. This type of installation will be considered as custom and will be quoted upon the completion of the site survey.
